This Privacy Policy explains how Sidewinder Networks (“Sidewinder,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through sidewindernetworks.net and in providing our service. Sidewinder Networks is a local fixed-wireless internet service provider serving Ridgecrest and Inyokern, California. In short: we only use the information you submit to check whether our service is available at your address and to follow up with you about it, and, if you become a customer, to provide your service and send you service-related emails. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you submit in our forms, such as your name, phone number, email address and service address.
If you become a customer, the account and billing information we need to set up, provide, support and bill your service.
Basic technical information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as browser type, device type, pages viewed and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies, the Meta Pixel and analytics” below).
How we use your information
We use the information you submit in our forms, and the account information of customers, only to:
Check whether Sidewinder service is available at your address.
Contact you about availability, plans and scheduling an installation.
If you sign up, provide, support and bill your internet service.
Send customers service and account emails and, unless they opt out, news about our offerings (see “Email communications” below).
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Email communications
By becoming a Sidewinder customer, you agree to receive email from us about your service, including service outages, maintenance, account and billing notices, and other general communication about your service. Because these emails are needed to provide your service, they are not optional while you are a customer.
We may also email you about new offerings, products, promotions or our newsletter. You can opt out of these marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at info@sidewindernetworks.net or (760) 281-3030. Opting out of marketing emails will not affect service emails.
Cookies, the Meta Pixel and analytics
Our site uses cookies and the Meta Pixel (from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram) to measure how well our ads work. When you visit our site, Meta may receive information about your device and browsing activity, such as the pages you view and actions you take, like submitting a form. We also use Meta’s Automatic Advanced Matching, which sends hashed (scrambled) versions of details you enter in our forms, such as your email address or phone number, to Meta so it can match visits to ad results. How to opt out:
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use your browser’s private or tracking-prevention mode.
Adjust your Facebook ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences to limit ads based on activity from other websites.

Our website is hosted by Framer, which also provides basic site analytics (such as page views and general traffic information) to help us understand how the site is used.
Data retention
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to check availability and follow up with you, or until you ask us to delete them. For customers, we keep account and billing records for as long as you have service with us and afterward as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to the people who need it to serve you.
Children’s privacy
Our site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
